1 mile by 1 mile city grid

To prevent the overwhelming feeling of designing an entire city of 5000 houses, we have decided that a one mile by one mile city (one squared mile) is be the most practical approach to come into terms of densities such as population and number of house units instead of the four squared mile grid.  This city plan of one squared mile is subdivided by primarily by 200 feet x150 feet neighborhood blocks.
